It backfires if there is nothing wrong with him as Palmer was about to burst forward on an attack and put the ball into touch.

But it’s hardly convincing from The Blues against one of the worst sides in the division. And it’s pretty dreary too.

Trevoh Chalobah has livened things up with a few tackles on his return from loan but the most interesting aspect of all is that Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is a Sister Sledge fan – he chose the music on the PA and big screen before the game.

We have the referee getting involved as he is not happy with all the pushing and shoving in the box.

The corner is dreadful from Cunha and goes straight into the side netting.

As James’ wayward shot was controlled by Tosin before slotting it past Jose Sa.

It was immediately ruled out due to the assistant’s flag but VAR deems the player to have been onside and the goal is given.

He tries to thread a pass to Jackson but it is cut out.

The ball comes back to Palmer, who dribbles it towards goal before letting fly with a shot.

Jose Sa gets down well to make the save as Wolves clear their lines.

For Chelsea, Chalobah and Dewsbury-Hall fall into this category.

Wolves new signing Agbadou will have a tough evening in that back three since his signing from the French first division.

Which is surprising as most of this team trained with him for years.

Palmer receives the ball inside the penalty area and tries a cheeky clipped effort but it drops wide of the far post.

Chelsea 0-0 Wolves11. Whenever The Blues have possession in their opponents’ half, Wolves have got all eleven players behind the ball.

They do not need a focal point up top as they have pace to utilise.

Jose Sa cannot collect a cross and it drops dangerously in the box but eventually the visitors clear.

Cucurella is the most advanced Chelsea player attacking it but Wolves clear their lines.

Wolves will have planned for that, their aim will be to hurt them on the break.

Their more direct style of play could see them utilise gaps left on the flanks by the hosts.

He lays it off to Sarabia but the visitors end up passing it all the way back to their own defence.

Another break for Wolves comes to an end with a well-timed sliding challenge from Chalobah, which gets a huge cheer from the home fans.

Wolves need to do something about that as they will not survive long in a game of defence versus attack.

Neto whips a ball into the box, which is headed behind for a corner.

James clips it in and the ball is flicked onto the far post where Jackson is unmarked but his volley makes for an easy save for Jose Sa.
