On May 31, Las Vegas, USA, will host a match for the return of the American former World Champion Jersell Charlo (33-0, 22 KOs). The organization did everything not to lose such asset and give a boxer a chance to return. However, all these actions have limits. Jersell begins again. It has a wonderful record, a fan base, but in fact again takes the first steps.

So the opponent should not be too star. First, Charlo has lost the opportunities that he had before, and now the chance to box against a star opponent should be earned. Secondly, an interesting battle is planned for the future-against the Caleb of the Plant, which will fight in the same card. And thirdly, it is worth feeling in the ring again in order to fight again for something significant.

Thomas Lamanna is a great option for such a duel. The 33-year-old American, unlike Charlo, was always boxing. In addition, it now has four early victories in the last five matches.

Of course, there is also no stars, but the lamb demonstrates stability: both in the number of projections and as quality. The guy is dimensional: Charlo is not inferior in height or in his hands. Physically strong, attacking. That is, what to look at.

At the same time, if the opponent is in order, Thomas may experience problems. This was the case in 2021 – the latter is now a early defeat of the Lamanna. That is, Lamanna is a good test, given the present form and success. However, this is not the boxer in the ring with which Charlo is worth the defeat. If Jersell was really preparing and having motivation. Because what happens to the brothers now is not very clear.

However, 33-0 testifies for themselves. Dimensional, technical and skilled boxer. Even Derevyanchenko, who lost most matches very close and contradictory, could not do anything to the American. In fact, Sergei then had one successful episode – seconds before the meeting.

This does not mean that Charlo will win. A good day for both Jermall is required to deal with the opponent. He is faster, more accurate, better, smarter. He can do what Lara did a few years ago.
