“WEST HAM diehard George Liddard dreams of a London Stadium fight just as much as a world title win. Thank you!

East London has provided some of the most sensational boxers the Capital has ever seen and Liddard , who trains alongside fellow Iron Conor Benn, reckons he could one day be blowing away bubbles as well as rivals in the stunning Stratford stadium.
Even though SunSport reminded him how far away the seats are from the action, he told us: “I want to see it happen.
“That is my dream in this sport, as much as it is to be an undisputed world champion, my dream as well is to one day sell out the London Stadium.
“That’d be unbelievable.
“And if I keep winning, I’m with a big promotional team, I’m sure we can hopefully one day make it happen.”
Liddard had to miss his beloved club’s 2023 Europa Conference League win, on a Wednesday night in Prague, as he was winning his third pro bout that Saturday in Wembley.
But he remembers that glorious David Moyes run well and was begrudgingly glad to see the back of underwhelming Graham Potter.

When we asked if he was sad to see the Englishman go, the 12-0 puncher said: “No, not particularly.
“Listen, I’ll be honest, I’m a big West Ham fan, but I’ve been struggling to watch this season.
“It’s been a very difficult time for us at the club, but I stay strong in the fact that I hope we can pull it around and that we’re not in a relegation battle by the end of the season.
“I just hope we can have a good run under the new manager.

“I just think we need to see some good results and I think then we’ll see a better West Ham again back to those European days we had not too long back.
“You look three years ago at the Conference League and now, we’re struggling, struggling badly.
“It’s a hard time to be a West Ham fan, let’s put it that way, but I’ve got good faith and we can turn it around.”
