“Many things happened, and the first half ended with an even score. The team, despite the fact that it did not play exactly the basketball that we planned for today, kept the result, and we were satisfied with that.
But in the third quarter, and especially in the fourth, we lacked experienced players. This is a weak point of our team. We lack a Ukrainian with basketball and life experience, such an age player, 32-35 years old. We tried to find one, but could not. Therefore, the boys lack an “uncle” in the locker room and on the court.
I have some remarks about the players, but, despite this, they tried to fight for every ball.
Today, the Americans of “Rivny” played the best game of all three that we played with them. Especially Jaylen Dupree, we have never seen him so aggressive under the basket in any game. I would also like to add that even though Oleksandr Garbar spent one good season in Rivne, Mykolaiv is still his home team.
We are generally satisfied with our new Legionnaire. But we see that he has not yet adapted to our life and basketball ideas in the team. It takes time. We took him late, but we have what we have and we are trying to accelerate his integration into the team.
