The leaders of the team were experienced Danilo “Headtr1ck” Valitov (rating 1.28) and Andrew “NPL” Kukharsky (1.14), who confidently led the team forward.
In just two stages, the Ukrainians have already overcome three of the five most rating teams of the tournament, proving that they were ready to fight at the highest level.
Furia
The Furias team, which is currently 16th in the HLTV world ranking, started immediately from the second stage of Austin Major due to its high position in Valve rating and did not participate in the first stage.
In the second stage, the Brazilians began with a convincing victory over Lynnn Vision with a score of 13: 4, after which they gave way to their compatriots with Pain – 11:13 in a tense match. However, the next day, Furia took revenge for defeat, overcoming M80 with a score of 13: 8 and thus secured a place in a group 2-1.
