Angelina Topich returned to the sector after a long break. The Serbok in the qualification of the 2024 Olympics broke the ankle, and therefore missed the finale due to damage. At the same time, athlete was still competing at the youth championship, which won in the finale of the Diamond League. And only after these two starts did the Serb be restored, which lasted until the winter of 2025.
“It’s incredible to come back that I’m here now. I am very grateful to God that I can jump again after such a serious injury that I can jump at that level. If you asked me two months ago, I would not believe that I would be here, I would jump in the finale. I am very glad that everything is perfect, ”Angelina said.
Attitude focused on the attention that the recovery was difficult, and it is not easy to return to 1.95 meters:
«Jump on 1.95 m? I often conquered this height, but from the moment of injury … It was a very long recovery, I survived difficult times and I had to work on so many elements. In the last six months I have literally started from scratch. So it’s an achievement to jump as high as I did it. There was a chance to jump on a personal record – an attempt at 1.99 m was close. I know it will happen. Yes, not today, it is not a moment. But so much time ahead is my first adult season, so there is a lot of time ahead. I get better every day, ”Topich said.
The next Serbian competition is the 2025 World Cup in China from March 21 to March 23.
