2.03 meters! Maguchih brilliantly won the Demjanyuk Memorial in Lviv

The leader of the women’s high jump team of Ukraine Yaroslav Maguchih brilliantly opened the winter season at the Demjanyuk Memorial in Lviv.

The competition for Yaroslava began with a bar at 1.91 m, after which Maguchih performed a wonderful jump of 2.00 meters.

She was the first in 2026 among athletes to overcome a height of 2.00 m, doing it on the second attempt – this is the best result of the season in the world.

Her next goal was a mark 2.03 meterswhich the Ukrainian jumper successfully overcame on the 3rd attempt! And this is a tournament record.

Spectators in the arena in Lviv frantically supported the world record holder.

A similar competition among men was won by Oleg Doroshchuk with a result of 2.24 meters.
