In 2024, Ukraine produced the first hundred units of missile weapons and will continue to increase such production, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said in a new video address.

“This year, we were able to achieve significant results in several areas. This is also our Ukrainian artillery – our shells, our guns. These are also drones – of various types, for various tasks – which not only help the front to defend positions and destroy the occupier, but also strike Russia at ever greater depths. We will increase it,” the president said.

Zelensky noted that in the future Ukraine will increase the production of missile weapons and thanked everyone involved in this process.

“Now more than 800 companies are working on the production of weapons for our Defense and Security Forces of Ukraine,” he clarified.

Zelenskyi also noted that “for the first time in the years of independence, Ukraine has system models for investment from partners.”

“In particular, this is the model of Denmark, which invests and attracts investments in production. We also agreed with France on a slightly different model, also with the involvement of construction technologies of the respective factories. There are also preliminary agreements with other partners regarding the localization of weapons production in Ukraine. This is what will constantly strengthen us,” he said.

At the beginning of October, at a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, the priorities for the Ukrainian defense industry for the next year were determined: these include, in particular, missiles, drones, shells, as well as the active attraction of investments from partners.
