President Volodymyr Zelenskyi held a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief – he announced this on December 3.

He called reports on contracts for the production of weapons in Ukraine the main issue:

“Significant volume of new and long-term orders for drones: FPV, also reconnaissance drones, long-range drones, missile drones.”

Separately, the president singled out the discussion of the missile program.

“There was a report on the testing of new types of missiles. We can thank our Ukrainian missile developers. We speed up production. We also discussed today the task of contracts for the production of artillery,” Zelenskyi said.

He added that he also held a meeting today with Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko and Air Force Commander Mykola Oleschuk.

The participants of the meeting reported on the protection of energy facilities and restoration works. They also “identified additional priorities in negotiations with partners regarding air defense for Ukraine.”

In November, during a telephone conversation with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Har Støre, President Zelenskyi discussed the production of weapons in Ukraine. In particular, Kyiv plans to use part of the funds received from the Norwegian government for its own Ukrainian production of drones and other weapons.
