All of them have been deprived of state awards of Ukraine indefinitely, the press service of the president says.
“The maximum set of sanctions – 21 types – was applied to ten of them. It is not only about the deprivation of state awards of Ukraine, but also, in particular, about the blocking of assets, the cancellation of licenses and permits, and the complete cessation of trade operations,” the message says.

In particular, in the decree: the former first deputy leader of the Party of Regions and head of the relevant faction Oleksandr Yefremov, who had the Order of Merit I-III degrees and Prince Yaroslav the Wise V degree; former First Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Renat Kuzmin, he had the Order of Merit II-III degrees and the title “Honored Lawyer of Ukraine”; former People’s Deputy of the II-IV and IX convocations Viktor Medvedchuk, who was awarded the “For Merit” orders of the I-III degrees and Prince Yaroslav the Wise V degree, had the title of “Honored Lawyer of Ukraine”, former Minister of Education and Science Dmytro Tabachnyk, had the orders of Prince Yaroslav Wise IV-V degrees and ranks “Honored Worker of Science and Technology”.
In addition, former Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, former Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka, former People’s Deputy Andrii Derkach will be stripped of their awards.
The list also included the head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill, who was awarded the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise, 1st degree.
“Russian singers Mykola Baskov, Philip Kirkorov, Oleksandr Malinin, Russian composer Igor Krutoy have been deprived of the honorary title of People’s Artist of Ukraine, and singers Karolina Kuyek (Ani Lorak) and Taisiya Povaliy have also been deprived of the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine,” the message reads.
On November 20, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported the law, which provides for the deprivation of state awards of Ukraine for persons who were convicted of serious or especially serious crimes, criminal offenses against the foundations of national security of Ukraine, against peace, security of humanity and international legal order, certain crimes against public safety; those who promote the aggressor state or justify the occupation of Ukraine.
In July, President Zelenskyi initiated the corresponding draft law.
