The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, arrived in the United States on Sunday, September 22, to participate in events within the framework of the UN General Assembly, the Office of the President reported.
As part of Zelenskyi’s trip, a number of bilateral meetings are planned, the press service says. In particular, meetings with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz are planned.
The press service of the White House noted that US President Joe Biden will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi in Washington on September 26. A separate meeting with Zelenskyi will also be held at the White House at the same time by Kamala Harris, the vice president and candidate for the US presidency from the Democrats.
The Office of the President previously informed that during his visit to the USA, Volodymyr Zelenskyi will also meet with Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate.
In addition, the President of Ukraine will speak at the session of the UN General Assembly.
The day before, Zelenskyi said that the Ukrainian “victory plan” is completely ready and now the main thing is “the determination to implement it.”
“There is and cannot be any alternative to peace, any freezing of the war or any other manipulations that will simply move Russian aggression to another stage. We need reliable and long-term security for Ukraine, and therefore for all of Europe,” the president said.
