As Zelensky reported in Telegram, he discussed with Fedorov the format of work of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
“The main principle is that the technology of our defense must preserve the lives of our soldiers. Russia has one significant advantage in this war, namely the ability to put pressure on Ukraine with the scale of strikes and assaults. We have and must respond with more active use of technology, faster development of new types of weapons, and new tactics,” Zelenskyy said.
As the head of state emphasized, since the beginning of the full-scale war, the Ministry of Digital Transformation headed by Fedorov has been and remains an active source of innovation for the defense sector of Ukraine.
“This also applies to the development of the market for weapons manufacturers, the use of drones, and modern communications,” Zelenskyy added.
At the same time, as the president emphasized, Ukraine is absolutely devoted to diplomacy and seeks to end the war as soon as possible.
“But Russia is not demonstrating a similar approach and is prolonging its aggression. We will counteract this thanks to greater technology and transformation of the defense sphere,” Zelensky emphasized.
As the head of state added, he discussed with Fedorov the formats of changes that he is preparing to implement in the post of Minister of Defense of Ukraine.
“In a week, Mykhailo will present draft decisions that are needed. I expect that the parliament will support such strengthening,” Zelenskyi said.
At the same time, today Fedorov reported on how various directions of modernization of the defense sphere of Ukraine are already being implemented.
“Technological solutions are already working. In particular, for December 2025, 35,000 destroyed occupiers have already been verified and confirmed on video, for November there were 30,000 confirmed injuries, for October there were 26,000 injuries. It is obvious that the technologies are working effectively. The supply of drones to the troops is clearly increasing. We are preparing our new special formats for strengthening the drone component of our defense,” Zelenskyi said.
