The head of state confirmed that Oksana Markarova will leave the position of Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States.
Zelensky considers the possibility of appointment of Umerov Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States / Collage of UNIAN, photo UNIAN, OPPresident of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported that if he made a decision on the appointment of the current Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States instead of Oksana Markarova, it will lead to serious changes in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. According to UNIAN correspondent, he said this at a press conference in Rome.
The head of state stressed that the change of the Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States will take place.
“As for the new ambassador, and so, the Cabinet of Ministers – I will say frankly, if I decide, and it will be in the near future, what to represent Ukraine in the United States of America – that is, our ambassador will be the Minister of Defense of Rustem Umerov – this will definitely affect the serious rearrangements of Ukraine.”
Markwarov’s release from officeAs reported by UNIAN, earlier the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sibiga noted that Zelensky intends to release Oksana Markarov from the post of ambassador of the country to the United States of America. Markarova holds the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United States since February 25, 2021.
