Zelenskyi also said that Ukraine was not preparing plan B, that is, some alternative to the victory plan.
“We have been living in plan B for years. Plan A was proposed even before the start of a full-scale war, when we called for two things: preventive sanctions and preventive strengthening of Ukraine with various types of weapons. I told our partners: if Ukraine is very strong, nothing will happen. They didn’t listen. Since then, they have all admitted that I was right. Strengthening Ukraine would significantly reduce the probability of Putin’s invasion,” the leader of Ukraine emphasized.
According to Zelenskyi, the victory plan is a plan to strengthen Ukraine: “It is not a fantasy or science fiction, and, importantly, it does not require the cooperation of the Russians to achieve success. Rather, the plan states what our partners can do without Russia’s participation. If diplomacy is the desire of both sides, then before diplomacy becomes effective, the implementation of our plan depends only on us and on our partners.”
The day before, Zelenskyi said that the Ukrainian “victory plan” is completely ready and now the main thing is “the determination to implement it.”
“There is and cannot be any alternative to peace, any freezing of the war or any other manipulations that will simply move Russian aggression to another stage. We need reliable and long-term security for Ukraine, and therefore for all of Europe,” the president said.
On Sunday, the president of Ukraine arrived in the USA, where he promises to present a plan for victory. The press service of the White House noted that US President Joe Biden will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi in Washington on September 26. A separate meeting with Zelenskyi will also be held at the White House at the same time by Kamala Harris, the vice president and candidate for the US presidency from the Democrats. Later, a meeting with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is scheduled.
