The law provides that 17-year-old male citizens will be able to register as conscripts in two ways to choose from: through the Electronic Office of the conscript using electronic identification, or through a personal visit to the territorial recruitment and social support center.
The document also defines valid reasons for impossibility of registration, including:
- conscript’s illness;
- natural disasters;
- living in a temporarily occupied territory or in a war zone;
- other circumstances that make electronic identification or personal arrival at the TCC and JV impossible.
Special attention is paid to the issue of military registration of women. Those who expressed a desire to undergo basic military service will be registered as conscripts at their own request. After completing their service, they will be entered into the military register of conscripts of their own volition.
Also, this document allows boys who turn 18 abroad to be registered without coming to Ukraine. They need to be identified in the “Rezerv+” application. Then a military registration document will be generated there.
The law extends until March 1 the possibility of taking into account servicemen who committed crimes against humanity and who voluntarily arrived in military units. At the same time, the commander continues the military service, the validity of the contract, as well as renews the payment of monetary, food, material and other types of support, no later than 72 hours.
