“The law stipulates that from January 1, 2025, instead of MSEK, expert commissions will work”, — write: www.radiosvoboda.org
As reported by the press service of the Verkhovna Rada, the law provides that from January 1, 2025, instead of MSEK, expert commissions will work in cluster and super-cluster hospitals, which will conduct an assessment in accordance with the criteria of the International Classification of Functioning, Limitations of Vital Activities and Health.
“In order to prevent corruption, commissions will selectively receive a patient for consideration, but neither he nor the commission will know which of the doctors will consider the issue. The previously established statuses of persons with disabilities, as well as the medical and social examination for children, will remain unchanged,” the post states.
On October 22, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, put into effect the decision of the NSDC regarding the activities of the MSEC, which provides for the liquidation of medical and social expert commissions, the verification of their decisions, and the reform of the MSEC system in Ukraine.
A few days later, in compliance with the decisions of the National Security Council and the President, the government approved a plan to combat corruption and other offenses among the MSEK.
This meeting of the National Security Council and the corresponding decision were preceded by a number of reports about alleged abuses in the MSEC.
