The President of Ukraine congratulated Karol Navrotsky on the victory in the second round of the President of Poland.

“Poland, which preserves the power of the national spirit and faith in justice, has been and remains the support of regional and pan -European security and in a strong voice that protects freedom and dignity for every nation,” Zelensky said.
In this regard, the President of Ukraine expressed expectations from the new leader of the Polish state.
“Strengthening each other on our continent, we give more to Europe in global competition and approach the achievements of real and long peace. I count on invariably fruitful cooperation with Poland and personally with Mr. President,” Zelensky said.
Elections of the President of PolandAs reported by UNIAN, in the second round of the election of the President of Poland, which took place on June 1, the director of the Institute of National Memory Karol Navrotsky won. According to the calculation of 100% of the ballots, Navrotsky scored 50.89% of the vote. Its opponent, Mayor of Warsaw Rafal Tshaskovsky, received 49.11% of the vote.
Navrotsky is known for being in favor of traditional values, limiting EU influence and cautious policy on Ukraine’s accession to NATO. He is a conservative historian. The nomination of his candidacy for the post of President of Poland was supported by the opposition party “Law and Justice”.
