The submission states that the representative of the President of Ukraine in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Halyna Mykhailiuk, is authorized to present Fedorov’s candidacy at the plenary session of the parliament.
According to the correspondent of UNIAN, today, January 13, the corresponding draft resolution with the number 14377 was registered in the Parliament of Ukraine.
As UNIAN reported, today, January 13, 2026, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine voted to dismiss Mykhailo Fedorov from the post of First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. This decision was supported by 270 People’s Deputies of Ukraine.
Zelenskyi and Fedorov discussed the modernization of Ukraine’s defenseIt will be recalled that on January 2, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi offered the current head of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, to become the new Minister of Defense of Ukraine. At the same time, the head of state noted that Fedorov is “deeply engaged in issues related to the Drone Line” and works very effectively in the digitalization of public services.
Zelensky noted that the technology of our defense must preserve the lives of our soldiers. At the same time, he added that Russia has one significant advantage in this war – to put pressure on Ukraine with the scale of strikes and assaults. The President of Ukraine believes that our state should respond to this with more active use of technologies, faster development of new types of weapons, and new tactics.
Zelenskyy emphasized that since the beginning of the full-scale war, the Ministry of Digital Transformation headed by Fedorov has been and remains an active source of innovation for the defense sector of Ukraine.
