The first lady told about the President’s intentionVolodymyr Zelenskyy is not going and has no desire to be president all his life. This was stated by the first lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenskaya in an interview for Italian political and information talk show Quarta Repubblica on Rete 4.
The presenter of the show reminded that Zelensky has recently waved the media representatives that he was ready to leave his post in exchange for the fact that Ukraine would be in NATO. When asked if she was ready for such a decision of her husband, Zelenskaya noted that Volodymyr Zelenskyy did not discuss it with her.
“But I know that he is not going and he has no such desire to be president all his life,” she continued.
According to the first lady, thanks to her husband now, Ukraine is safe.
“And safety guarantees, whatever they may be, they must be in Ukraine so that it can safely leave their post. If NATO membership is a security guarantee and it will be calm for our safety, I think he can do so. Why. Why No?” – said Elena Zelenskaya.
Zelensky is ready to leave the post As reported by UNIAN, on February 23 during a major press conference in Kiev, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, answering questions about the pressure of the United States and Russia about holding the presidential election, he said that he was ready to leave his position for peace in Ukraine. He added that this is possible in exchange for Ukraine’s accession to NATO.
