The law provides for deregulation and detinization of the used car trade market / photo ua.depositphotos.comThe Verkhovna Rada adopted draft law No. 9083 as a whole, which improves the procedure for wholesale and retail trade in vehicles by business entities registered with the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. According to People’s Deputy of Ukraine Yaroslav Zheleznyak, this decision was supported by 270 people’s deputies.“He proposes to give the opportunity to business entities engaged in wholesale and retail trade of motor vehicles to buy and sell vehicles as goods, without registering them in the SC (service center – UNIAN) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the TCC,” Zheleznyak noted.
According to Danyla Hetmantsev, head of the VRU Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, the draft law provides for deregulation and decriminalization of the used car trade market.
“Excessive and inefficient bureaucratic procedures are an obstacle to the operation of the white market. It is such an archaism that the demand for additional registration of a car to a middleman with a bunch of unnecessary documents is such an archaism,” noted the People’s Deputy.
He emphasized that this decision will be a guarantee for bringing the market out of the shadows, expanding the activities of white auto traders and eliminating schemes due to which the budget does not receive taxes.
