The government has decided to keep the electricity tariff for the population / photo UNIAN, Viktor KovalchukThe price of electricity for the population remains unchanged – the Cabinet has continued the relevant position. This was reported in the Ministry of Energy.
Thus, the Cabinet of Ministers has continued the provision on the assignment of special responsibilities on the participants of the electricity market to ensure public interests in the process of functioning of the electricity market until October 31, 2025.
“Therefore, a single fixed price for electricity for individual and collective consumer consumers is stored at the level of 4.32 UAH/kWh.
According to Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko, the government has decided to keep the electricity tariff for the population unchanged in order to ensure its accessibility to consumers. He said:
“We have survived the complex winter and intense enemy shelling that destroyed and damaged about 10 GW of generating capacity. Energy continue large -scale renewable and repair work throughout the country.”
Utility Tariffs in Ukraine are the latest newsThe National Bank of Ukraine involves a gradual adjustment of tariffs for housing and communal services in the coming years, but the terms and parameters of their revision are a sphere of uncertainty and risk for inflation forecasting. In particular, the gradual bringing of them to economically sound levels since 2026 is assumed.
The tariffs of water utilities for which Ukrainians pay utilities are lower than they should be, which led to the accumulation of huge debts. In a comment to UNIAN, the director of the Energy Research Center Oleksandr Kharchenko said that local officials approve low tariffs that do not cover the basic costs of electricity, modernization of systems, repair pumps and replace pipes.
