From July 1, 2021 to December 31, 2024, only 604,000 hectares were sold.
According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the highest average price per hectare is 89,744 hryvnias in Ivano-Frankivsk, 71,390 hryvnias in Lviv, and 66,232 hryvnias in Poltava regions.
At the same time, the lowest average price per hectare is UAH 33,981 in Zaporizhzhya, Mykolaiv Oblast – UAH 34,033, and Sumy Oblast – UAH 34,936.
“Despite the opening of the land market, in 3.5 years only a small percentage of citizens used the right to alienate their land allotments. Although in 2024, the volume of land sold is greater than in the first 2.5 years after the lifting of the moratorium,” noted the head of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, Vitaly Koval .
It is worth noting that the moratorium on the sale of agricultural land was canceled on July 1, 2021, 17.5 million hectares fell under it.
From July 1, 2021 to December 31, 2024, only 604,000 hectares, or 198,337 plots, were sold. It is noted that legal entities bought 25,157 plots, which is 78,307 hectares, the average price of 1 hectare is 62,656 hryvnias or 1,561 dollars. At the same time, natural persons bought 81,512 plots, which is 242,353 hectares, the average price of 1 hectare is 41,510 hryvnias or 1,034 dollars.
The land market in Ukraine – the latest newsThe Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reported that in two years, 1% or 275,157 hectares of agricultural land, which was under a moratorium on sale, was sold. As of July 4, 2023, 85,247 agreements have been concluded.
As of mid-September 2023, the average area of the sale agreement is 2.2 hectares, and the average price of the agreement is 39-45 thousand hryvnias.
