The most wages grow in industries that are part of the defense-industrial complex.

The Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine for Digital Development Dmitry Zavgorodniy on the air of the channel “We – Ukraine” told about it.
“Salary and active search are increasing in the industry, especially processing industry. Both light industry and metalworking, woodworking,” he specified.
According to him, the state is now investing a lot in these industries, because they are part of the defense -industrial complex – supply spare parts, weapons for the armed forces, so many specialists need.
“These are professions such as numerical software operator, turner, milling machine, welder, electrician and many others,” the official explained.
He also reported that in many regions there is already a shortage of personnel in the field of construction:
“Agree, people will not be left out of work. We already expect a huge shortage of personnel in these professions at the reconstruction stage of Ukraine.”
Zavgorodniy added that the professions of plumbing, electricity, which can be obtained in vocational education institutions, remain scarce.
Personnel shortage in UkraineEarlier, UNIAN reported that employers are ready to take beginners due to lack of staff in the labor market. OLX work research shows that in Ukraine the most needed workers in production, sellers, loaders, handymen, cashier. Meanwhile, candidates are most interested in vacancies such as a packer in production, business in construction, barista, builder, administrator.
It was also reported that in Ukraine, pensioners have become easier to find a job. Thus, in 2024, the number of such vacancies increased by 33%, and the median salary reached 20 thousand hryvnias and is comparable to the median salary in Ukraine for all categories as of today (21500 UAH), said UNIAN “OLX WORK” Maria Abdullin.
