The pre -war format of nationwide entrance examinations stipulated that the whole country was one item in one day.

“We remember that we had such a format of nationwide entrance examinations, which assumed that the whole country was one subject in one day. This means that, relatively speaking, this year, 312,000 entrants would have to write Ukrainian at the same time. In the current security conditions, it is impossible to organize it,” the official said.
Therefore, he says, participants are broken into smaller groups and conduct a multi -compartment test “in safe environments”. According to Vinnytsky, that further to the east of our country – the more often these tests occur in the basements, in shelters, which are specially equipped for this.
“This is often the case on the basis of universities – we have made a lot of efforts. Like last year, this year, testing includes four subjects: three mandatory and one choice,” the Deputy Minister said.
He assured that “there is no need to change something today,” and in the near future there is also no fundamental changes.
“We would like to gradually return to testing in individual items instead of multi -enthusiastic format. This would give more time to each test – conditionally, two hours per one item instead of one. In this case, the cost of the error for the entrant will be much lower. But significant changes in the security situation in Ukraine are needed.
Other education newsAs reported earlier, UNIAN, in Ukraine, the number of graduates decreases annually. As the Deputy Minister of Education Vinnytsky explained, and in 2002 the fall in the number of graduates in Ukraine has been associated with Chernobyl, and since then the number of graduates of schools by 20-30 thousand decreases. According to the official, the reason for this trend is that less children are born in Ukraine.
The Ministry of Education and Science also named the most unpromising specialties in Ukraine. According to Vinnitsky, most graduates at the age of 17 have no conscious understanding of what they want to do throughout their lives. As a result, the most popular specialties are those that offer a minimum number of places in the labor market: right, management, finance, journalism. Therefore, the authorities decided to introduce “indicative cost”: the price of a contract for popular specialties, which are absolutely unpromising, significantly rose.
