New President of Poland can pursue another policy on Ukraine / Wikipedia photoDespite the victory of Karol Navrotsky in the presidential election in Poland, one should not wait for a sharp reorientation of the country towards pro -Russian policy. This opinion was expressed by the Polish ambassador to Ukraine in 2005-2010, Jacek Klyuchkovsky in a comment to Glavkom.
“Navrotsky is an anti -Russian politician, and this is the main difference between him and Orban. During NATO summits, he will oppose the invitation of Ukraine to the Alliance, but this is of great importance in conditions when America is against,” he stressed.
Klyuchkovsky added that the new President of Poland is likely to be more persistent in rhetoric about Germany and the European Commission.
If we talk about the support of Ukraine in the war against the Russian Federation, the exhibition assured that Poland’s assistance would not stop.
“The government is doing this. And it will continue,” the diplomat added.
However, Klyuchkovsky warned that in the issues of historical memory the pressure of the new authorities of Poland will grow on Ukraine.
“It will be part of the right agenda,” the exhibition explained.
Karol Navrotsky – What is knownAs UNIAN wrote, Karol Navrotsky defeated the election of the President of Poland, who promised not to let Ukraine into NATO. It is noted that he gained 50.89% of the vote and won in the second round of the President of Poland. Its opponent – Mayor of Warsaw Rafal Tshaskovsky received 49.11% of the vote.
It is known that Navrotsky is a conservative historian supported by the Opposition Party “Law and Justice”, stands for traditional values, limiting EU influence and cautious policy on Ukraine’s accession to NATO.
In particular, such elections have a significant impact on the Political Course of Poland, its relations with the EU and support of Ukraine.
At the same time, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky revealed what he expects from the new President of Poland. According to him, he counts on fruitful cooperation with a new Polish leader.
“Strengthening each other on our continent, we give more to Europe in global competition and approach the achievements of real and long peace. I count on unchanged fruitful cooperation with Poland and personally with the President,” the Head of State emphasized.
