He is probably not aware that the Norwegian government is not responsible for the award.

It is known that in most nominations, the Nobel Prize is published by Sweden, but Norway is managed by the Nobel Prize of Peace. In July, Trump unexpectedly called the Minister of Finance of Norway Jens Stoltenberg (NATO Exhensek) to discuss trade tariffs. But during the conversation, he began to ask him for the Nobel Peace Prize.
This call was first reported by the Norwegian newspaper Dagens NæRingsliv, and later it was confirmed by Politico and Stoltenberg himself.
“It is true that President Trump called me a few days before the Prime Minister is talking. We discussed tariffs, economic cooperation, and this served as preparation for his conversation with the Prime Minister Stere.
According to Dagens næringsliv, this is not the first time that Trump raised the issue of awarding him during negotiations with Stoltenberg.
According to Politico, several countries, including Israel, Pakistan and Cambodia, have already nominated Trump’s nomination for peace for its mediation in the conclusion of peace agreements or ceasefire in their conflicts with neighbors. But it is the Tomor to Tomor’s meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska that can be the final test for his candidacy for the Nobel Peace Prize, since any breakthrough or failure in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict will probably affect his title of peacekeeping.
Until now, four US presidents have received the Nobel Peace Prize – Theodore Roosevelt, Woodra Wilson, Jimmy Carter and Barack Obama. Trump himself repeatedly complained that Obama was given an undeserrently, and suggested that he would not receive the prize, because they seem to be unfairly treated.
Alaska negotiations: The latest newsAccording to UNIAN, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio told reporters that Trump was hopeing to persuade Putin to agree to end the war in Ukraine during tomorrow’s meeting on Alaska.
The British edition of The Telegraph, citing its own sources, claims that Trump will seek to bribe Putin with the promises of weakening sanctions and for some reason to develop Ukrainian resources on the occupied part of the Donbass.
