The press service of the Ministry of Defense specified that “during the conversation, they discussed the key issues of military aid to Ukraine for 2025. In particular, the schedule for the supply of weapons and equipment over the next 2 months was reviewed in detail.”
Umerov also thanked Robles for the provided HAWK systems, which “significantly strengthened the air defense of Ukraine.” In addition, the parties discussed the possibility of “additional assistance for the protection of the Ukrainian sky.”
“He separately noted Spain’s contribution to the training of the Ukrainian military, which is an important element of our cooperation. Another important area touched upon is the prospects of involving Spanish defense companies in joint projects in Ukraine,” Umyerov said.
Earlier, on December 12, a meeting of the heads of foreign policy departments of Great Britain, Spain, Italy, Germany, Poland, France, Ukraine and the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy was held in Berlin.
“According to the results of the meeting, the ministers of seven European countries and the head of EU diplomacy adopted the Berlin Declaration, which confirmed the strong solidarity and decisive support of Ukraine from its partners at this crucial moment of confronting Russian aggression,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine informs.
