“Great Britain has confirmed its readiness to provide constant and comprehensive support to strengthen Ukraine’s position both on the battlefield and in the international arena. We expect increased military, political and economic assistance from British allies this year,” the post said.
Also, according to Umyerov, special attention was paid to the development of the Ukrainian defense and industrial complex.
“Great Britain has already invested in the production of our weapons, and this cooperation continues: in particular, the funding will be directed to the production of air defense/anti-missile equipment and long-range weapons,” says the Minister of Defense of Ukraine.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, Ukraine has been trying to increase its own production of weapons, partly producing them jointly with partners.
According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, Ukraine already produces 155-caliber ammunition, long-range and maritime drones. Also, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced that Ukraine is embarking on “significant” volumes of production of artillery systems and armored vehicles.
