According to him, during the heating season, the state has ensured that the electricity tariff for the population remains unchanged at UAH 4.32 per kWh.
“There is also a preferential tariff — UAH 2.64 — for people who use electric heating installations. Until today, it applied to those who consume up to 2,000 kWh of electricity per month,” the head of government noted.
However, he said, there are many people who consume more than this limit and have been forced to pay the full rate.
“In order to correct this, a resolution was passed on the differentiation of the preferential tariff at the expense of the PSO mechanism. This decision is part of the comprehensive support for Ukrainians, which we are introducing this winter and which will continue after its completion,” Shmyhal noted.
