About it told V.O. Head of the National Defense Policy Department of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Igor Hot during a roundtable at Ukrinform.
“We are now departing from the system where everything was reduced to basic general training. It is no longer just a discipline, it is a cycle of preparation of citizens for national resistance,” he said.
The Horty recalled that instead of basic general military training (BZVP), Ukraine is being introduced “Fundamentals of National Resistance”. This training will reach all Ukrainians starting from school age.
Acting Head of the National Resistance Policy Department of the Ministry of Defense noted that the cycle of preparation of citizens for national resistance will begin at 14 years, in particular through participation in military-patriotic games, such as Falcon, Jura, as well as the study of the updated subject “Protection of Ukraine”. He recalled that the universities will also be abolished by BZVP, replacing it with “foundations of national resistance.”
“It’s not about a military specialty. It’s about motivation, a willingness to protect the country. The subject of” Fundamentals of National Resistance “will be obligatory for both boys and girls. You do not want to go – discharge from the educational institution,” the Hort emphasized.
He added that after completing their studies in educational institutions, Ukrainians will need to pass the basic military service, which will become part of the general training. According to him, the new model is already being implemented.
The Hort noted that another cycle of preparation for national resistance is “18-60+” centers.
“We create preparation centers for all: reservists, students who want to come. Everyone will be able to come, train, hold their weapons, understand their level,” he explained.
Preparation of Ukrainians for the National Optiv – Important NewsWe will remind that in April the Ministry of Defense reported that in Ukraine will create a network of centers of preparation of citizens for national resistance. They will work to form patriotic consciousness, acquire knowledge and practical skills that are needed to protect the country.
It is known that the procedure for the creation and operation of these centers has already been determined. The regulation of interaction of centers with state authorities, local self -government, forces of the Armed Forces, forces of special operations and civil society institutions was also created.
In addition, on June 2, the Verkhovna Rada registered a bill on changes to the legislation on national resistance. According to this draft law, different categories of citizens will be prepared for the National Reservoir, and both men and women will cover preparation programs.
