On April 24, a coordination meeting of the Organizing Committee of the Platform of Social and Responsible Business “Children of Our Defenders” was held. Ukrainian helicopter Airlines met with deputyMinister for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine Ruslan Prikhodko.
“Such projects are extremely important today – for the children of our fallen defenders. Together with the responsible business, we create a model of support that is already working and can be scaled throughout the country. It is not just charity – it is part of the national strategy for supporting families of defenders and defenders of Ukraine,” Ruslan Prykhodko said.
The meeting discussed successful cases and outlined further joint steps to expand the project in all regions. A plan of future meetings with entrepreneurs and business representatives for the assistance of several regional military administrations in certain regions was formed. The purpose of such meetings with businesses is to attract new philanthropists in the platform-that every orphan child who lost both parents during the war receives additional targeted monthly support within the platform “children of our defenders”.
“Grandma, aunts, other relatives, godparents, these people, are mostly the guardians of these children. These people also live the irreparable loss of loved ones. Therefore, to support such families of fallen defenders and defenders is to share grief with them. These are not small or big gifts. It is a manifestation of the public. Businesses seeking sustainable development for Ukraine, a happy future for all Ukrainian children.
The experience of business cooperation with state institutions within the framework of the “children of our defenders” was interesting on international sites. In particular, at the First International Volunteer Summit “Unity” in Brussels Lesya Chervinskaya emphasized that the Ukrainian ability to unite around the solution of a problem is our unique national feature.
We will remind, the platform “Children of our defenders” was founded by the airline “Ukrainian helicopters” in partnership with the Ministry of Veterans of Ukraine and the Ukrainian National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Ukraine). At this stage, philanthropists begin to regularly care for children who have lost both parents – Ukrainian defenders and defenders.
