Oleksandr Konotopskyi, a member of the Board of Directors of the Union, stated this. He tried to explain to Shabunin that draft law No. 12089 was initiated and developed by the Business Support Council.

“We made it for business and at the request of business. This is an important step in creating a strong economy. It should become easy to build in Ukraine. Private property should be protected,” Konotopskyi writes.

The fact is that Shabunin accused the authors of the project that this document allegedly “helps developers legalize the most ugly manipulations with state land.” He said that the proposed provisions will make it more difficult for the state to seize property. “It seems that, according to Shabunin, there cannot be bona fide acquirers of state and communal property by definition,” writes “Law and Business”.

Konotopskyi reminds us that Ukraine historically has problems with private property, and that one of the tactics of the raiders is to “start reprimanding the owner of the land for the fact that 10 years ago it was somehow not taken out of state ownership.”

“If a person has what he honestly bought, you can come and take it – he will not buy anything… And as a result – nothing will be created. Such a country will be a desert,” Konotopskyi believes.

He emphasized that the Council on Business Support considers the draft law basic and important for the investment attractiveness of the state. “And what if not? You can always return to the Soviet Union… Everything was state-owned there…” – sums up the businessman.

As “Law and Business” notes, “Shabunin already lives as under communism: he appropriated a Nissan Pathfinder jeep, which was transferred as humanitarian aid for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, serves wherever and whenever he wants and, unlike others, is not subject to criminal charges responsibility”.

It will be recalled that the SBI is investigating a number of criminal cases against Shabunin, in particular, evasion of mobilization, falsification of documents of the National Security Agency, illegal use of a humanitarian vehicle and appropriation of a Nissan Pathfinder jeep.

Previously, Shabunin criticized Christians for the lost value of marriage and the spread of AIDS due to disordered sexual relations.
