The United Nations will provide $3.3 billion in humanitarian support to Ukraine in 2025, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced after a meeting with the UN delegation.

Zelenskyi said in a telegram that on January 16 he held a meeting with the UN delegation led by emergency aid coordinator Tom Fletcher and UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi.

The President noted that “the delegation visited not only Kyiv, but also the southern regions of Ukraine, as well as the Dnipro, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions, including Kupyansk.”

“We deeply appreciate all the support of Ukraine and are especially grateful for the decision to allocate 3.3 billion dollars for humanitarian aid to the Ukrainian people this year,” he said.

In addition, Zelensky offered the UN to join the “Food from Ukraine” initiative aimed at helping the Syrian people.

This year, humanitarian organizations in Ukraine aim to help six million people. These include financial support, food, medical services and access to education in emergencies. 2.6 billion dollars are needed to implement these plans. If the funds are sufficient and the humanitarian situation allows, humanitarian workers will continue to work and help Ukrainians throughout the country, including near the front line. Humanitarian organizations also plan to support 11 countries that have accepted refugees in 2025-2026. This will allow two million people to receive enhanced services in the field of protection. This requires $1.2 billion in 2025-26.
