The Minister of Defense of Slovakia also criticized the “coalition of the willing”.

“Ukraine will never become a member of NATO, and it will also be difficult to secure its accession to the EU,” Kalyniak told reporters.
The Minister of Defense of Slovakia also said that he does not believe that the “coalition of the willing” will really be able to achieve a result.
“Did she (the “coalition of the willing” – UNIAN) send soldiers? No, she didn’t. Of course not,” Kalyniak emphasized.
According to him, Ukraine had a chance to end the war in 2022. He added that the creation of a joint European army can be a logical step only in the absence of NATO membership.
“Either we are in NATO, and then we don’t need it, or we are in Europe,” Kalyniak said.

As sociologists point out, signals from certain international partners of Ukraine, primarily the United States, weaken Ukrainians’ orientation towards NATO as the best option for guaranteeing security for Ukraine, despite the fact that the relative majority of the population still considers NATO to be the best of the alternatives.
