Such a forecast was made by the Minister of Defense of the Netherlands, who temporarily performs the duties of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ruben Breccelmans in a comment to Ukrinform.
“As for military assistance – we must continue it. And it is now, because Ukraine has to keep defense on the battlefield. If there is a ceasefire or a peace agreement, Ukraine will still need constant support – to protect and contain any future Russian aggression. That is why we are talking about security guarantees.”
He added that after meeting on Alaska and in Washington, the key task is that the US, Ukraine and Europe agree on a single vision of security guarantees.
“It is important for the US, Ukraine and European countries to determine: what do we mean by security guarantees?
At the same time, he warned that the achievement of a joint understanding takes time, Alekraine, the USA and the countries of Europe working hard on it:
