This was announced by Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal. He noted that this made it possible to significantly increase the capabilities of units in countering enemy air targets at various levels – from the front line to the protection of rear regions.
The official noted that the operation of the DOT-Chain Defense weapons marketplace became a separate tool for strengthening capabilities.
“Through the platform, military units have ordered and received more than 7,000 tactical-level interceptor drones, which allows us to promptly meet needs without waiting for centralized supplies,” the minister said.
Shmyhal emphasized that interceptor drones are now a critically important element of multi-level air defense. After all, they make it possible, in particular, to save the expensive missile resource of air defense, using more economical means of destruction.
In addition, they make it possible to increase the density of countering drones without overloading air defense systems, as well as providing the front with effective solutions for the protection of personnel, equipment and logistics.

According to the head of state, he handed over “relevant papers with the amount, what we need and how.” Zelensky also noted that separately he said that we are ready to purchase all this through the PURL program.
