She noted that today, on August 1, she talked with a candidate for the post of director of the Bureau of Economic Security Alexander Tsvinsky.
“They agreed with Alexander how to remove all the questions and doubts in the civilized way, and agreed with him to pass the polygraph. This is guaranteed to deprive the situation of any manipulation and allows you to move on,” Sviridenko said.
According to her, the competition commission made a decision, and the government received the results of additional inspections. She stressed that “everyone is interested in being an effective institution and having a real trust – the trust of business and all Ukrainian society.”
“I expect that next week we will be able to make an appropriate decision that will allow you to update the work of the Bab and will be a significant contribution to the positive restart of the relations between the state and business,” the Prime Minister added.
Appointment of anti -corruption bodies Experts and international bodies have long criticized the Ukrainian government for non -identification of the Chairman of the Bureau of Economic Security, elected at the competition. This has become one of the main topics of criticism about the previous Cabinet of Ministers chaired by Denis Shmigal.
As previously reported by Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko, the Government did not appoint a candidate of Tsin, who “complied in laws and regulations”.
On July 22, the Verkhovna Rada voted in favor of a law that grants certain powers of the Prosecutor General’s Office regarding the work of the National Anti -Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti -Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP).
The decision provoked a violent reaction of society – large -scale protests began in a number of cities of Ukraine. In turn, the European Union has expressed concern for Ukraine’s recent actions on its anti -corruption institutions, hinting at consideration and adoption of the law concerning the powers of NABU and SAP.
On July 31, the Verkhovna Rada supported the Presidential Law, which returns the powers of NABU and SAP.
