However, six months later, his presidency is clearly ambiguous, at the same time he failed to achieve significant progress in the termination of the two most complex wars in the world – in Ukraine and in the Gaza sector, The Wall Street Journal writes.

Paul Stern, a senior conflict -prevention researcher in the Council of International Relations, stated that although Trump’s initiatives are worthy of praise, his approach was largely “non -systematic and situational.”

“Mediation in the ceasefire is not the same as building a strong peace,” Stern added. “The latter usually requires long and painstaking diplomatic efforts.”

The second term Trump is just beginning, but former officials and extra -registration experts say the style of the President’s negotiation has already been formed. It is largely determined by Trump’s personal relationship with the world leaders and his threats to apply economic pressure or even force in case of refusal. It also reflects Trump’s impatience about long negotiations aimed at eliminating the fundamental causes of the most acute conflicts in the world, and focusing on trying to stop the ceasefire.

“There is a difference between the ceasefire and the pauses and the cessation of wars,” Dennis Ross said, a high -ranking peace official in the Middle East. “The first terminates the fighting, the second is versed in the causes of the conflict and concludes agreements that resolve the differences – or at least encourages both parties to adjust their approaches and produce modus vivendi.”

Currently, Trump’s policy on Ukraine is focused on whether the White House is ready to take tough steps according to its tougher statements, WSJ writes.

“Rhetoric is moving in the right direction, but we have not yet achieved the goal,” said Daniel Fried, a former high -ranking employee of the State Department, who was also a US Ambassador to Poland.

This week, Trump threatened to impose high duties for countries that trade with Russia, such as India to try to influence Putin’s calculations. He also agreed that the United States can sell European Patriot and other weapons systems for Ukraine.

“However, Trump also from time to time thought to wash his hands in the conflict, and some of the most true allies of the president are not sure how firmly the white home is ready to take a position on Russia in the long run.”

Trump repeatedly complained that his diplomatic efforts had not led to international recognition, which former President Barack Obama has achieved in 2009 for his “exclusive efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples.”

“This is the desire to which some of the Trump partners played in the negotiations, seeking to strengthen ties with the white home, and which other countries ignored at their own risk. This brings a new variable in the already complex diplomatic system,” WSJ emphasizes.

War in Ukraine – Trump’s statementsRecall that the other day the US President stated that it gives Russia 10-12 days to reach an agreement on ceasefire in Ukraine – otherwise the US will impose rigid trade duties and secondary sanctions against countries that continue to buy Russian oil.

After the last severe blow of the Russian Federation in Kiev, the US President called Russia “disgusting” and promised that sanctions would definitely be imposed.
