“The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, officially announced the beginning of the “Peace Council”, and the inaugural documents for the start of the organization’s work, including its charter, were also signed. On…”, — write: www.unian.ua
According to the US president, “many of his friends” from other countries gathered to join the initiative. Currently, it is known that such countries as: Morocco, Bahrain, Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Hungary, Indonesia, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Pakistan, Paraguay, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, UAE, Uzbekistan and Mongolia have joined the “Peace Council”.
As Trump stated, the “Peace Council” should work together with the United Nations.
He said that the UN has enormous potential, but does not use it: “As soon as this “Council” is fully formed, we will be able to do almost everything we want. And we will do it together with the United Nations.”
Formally, a new international organization was established to ensure the settlement and reconstruction of the Gaza Strip. That is, with measurable and time-bound tasks. But, interestingly, the institution itself is permanent.
So, I dare to say that Donald Trump changed the idea of the “Peace Council” with the aim of deconstructing the United Nations system. And first of all – the UN Security Council.
The fact is that for the USA, against the background of the activity of the PRC, the presence of its own “American-centric organization” is extremely important.
Especially since a split is planned within NATO (including over Greenland). That is why a large number of states were invited to the “Peace Council”, including those that were “in China’s orbit”. After all, the second line of logic is to create a conditional “anti-Chinese bloc” and put states that are developing relations with China in a situation of tough choices.
But for now, this main idea is postponed. The reason is that the number of participants at the inaugural meeting was too small. More precisely, for solving the problem of “settlement in the Gaza Strip” – an excellent composition. But for global topics – insignificant.
Accordingly, it should be expected that they will start with Gaza, but in the coming months, Trump will actively push other participants into the “Peace Council”. And then – Trump’s political jihad against the UN.
