From the moment of admission to the post of Trump has repeatedly changed the position on the Russian-Ukrainian war, Barro said.

The minister noted that since the entry of Trump, he has repeatedly changed the position on the Russian-Ukrainian war: during a certain period he became closer to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, and criticized President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky. However, now it seems that the White House head has “chosen side”, Barro says.
“President Trump has put Vladimir Putin a 50-day ultimatum to cease fire under threat of very harsh sanctions … He also expressed his readiness to supply military equipment to Ukraine,” the French minister said.
The last point, in his opinion, is “undoubtedly the most reliable sign” that Trump “chose his side and has now decided to support Ukraine to achieve his goal, which was very clear from the beginning: a strong peace in Ukraine.”
Trump’s position on war with Ukraine: Important newsAs UNIAN reported earlier, Trump recently made important statements about the war in Ukraine. He promised to impose secondary duties against the Russian Federation and its partners, unless there is a peaceful settlement agreement within 50 days. At the same time, the White House head expressed his hope that he would not have to do it.
According to the military observer Gamish de Bretton-Gordon, because of this ultimatum Trump Europe has changed the behavior not in favor of Ukraine. Like, Europeans have relaxed too much and focused on the actions of Israel in the Gaza Sector, but the Russian threat has not disappeared from that, and there is no signs that Moscow is ready to concede to American ultimatum.
At the same time, the former adviser to the US President John Bolton believes that Trump seems more interested not in support of Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression, but to distance himself from Ukraine – both diplomatic and military. The exader believes that Trump’s recent decisions “demonstrate his annoyance because of the involvement of Ukraine and Russia – the war he considers in Europe.”
