“Honestly, I do not recommend journalists to trust any of Putin’s proposals regarding “corridors” in the combat zone. I saw with my own eyes how such proposals are implemented – on August 29, 2014 in Ilovaisk,” wrote the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Georgy Tykhi, on his page on the X social network.

He added that Putin’s only goal is to continue the war against Ukraine. And he never followed through on his promises of a ceasefire on the front lines.

“Don’t help him justify his crimes because of Russian provocations against journalists. I also remind all mass media that any visits to the territory occupied by Russia without the permission of Ukraine are a violation of our legislation and international law. They will have long-term reputational and legal consequences. We are closely monitoring this,” added Tykhi.

Putin’s statement about “corridors” at the front – what is it aboutEarlier, the President of the Russian Federation, Volodymyr Putin, stated that the Defense Forces of Ukraine are allegedly surrounded in Pokrovsk and Kupyansk. He also noted that the Kremlin “doesn’t mind” allowing the media, including foreign and Ukrainian ones, to see the situation in that area and talk to the Ukrainian military.

Already later, Putin ordered the troops to let journalists pass through the Pokrovsk, Mirnograd, and Kupyansk districts. He noted that for the sake of this, the occupiers are ready to stop hostilities for several hours in these areas.
