In particular, according to the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Poland, on the night of April 29 near the village of Davida Mazowietsky Voivodeship (10 km from Warsaw), two road accidents on the high-speed road S2 (at the intersection with the road S79) occurred.
“The first road accident: a bus moving along the Minsk -Wroclaw route with 27 people on board (26 passengers and a driver) crashed into energy absorbing barriers and overturned,” the statement said.
In this regard, the embassy checks the number of victims of Ukrainian citizens.
“The second road accident: during the rescue work on the site of the first road accident, a truck crashed into the fire truck and blocked the movement of vehicles. The truck driver is a citizen of Ukraine,” the message said.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as a result of both incidents, 15 people were injured in various severity:
- 12 bus passengers;
- truck driver;
- Two firefighters.
“All the victims are hospitalized. The traffic of the S2 road is temporarily suspended. Emergency services work on the spot. The consular official is at the scene and provides the necessary assistance,” the Foreign Ministry noted.
At the same time, other passengers continued traffic on the planned route on an additional bus provided by the carrier.
“As of now, there was no appeal to the” hotline “from the citizens of Ukraine on this matter,” the statement said.
The Embassy of Ukraine in Poland takes measures to check information on the presence of Ukrainian citizens among the victims.
