The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine is surprised that a number of countries have expressed concern about the manipulative statement of the Russian Federation about the alleged attack on the residence of the dictator Putin.
Sybiga criticized the manipulative statements of the Russian Federation/ Collage UNIAN, navalny.com, UNIANThe Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andriy Sybiga, noted that Russia has not provided any credible evidence to confirm the words about the alleged attack on the residence of the initiator of the war, Volodymyr Putin, in Valdai. The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced this on the network Kh.
“Almost a day has passed, and Russia still has not provided any credible evidence of its accusation against Ukraine of the alleged “attack on Putin’s residence”. And it will not provide it. Because there is none. There was no such attack,” Sibiga stressed.
At the same time, according to him, in Ukraine, with disappointment and concern, they paid attention to the statements of the Emirati, Indian and Pakistani parties, who expressed their “concern” about the alleged “attack”.
“This is particularly surprising considering that all three states did not make any official statements when a real Russian missile hit the real Ukrainian government building on September 7, 2025,” Sybiga emphasized.
As the head of the Foreign Ministry noted, Russia has a long track record of false statements – this is their trademark. He recalled how Russia claimed that it would not attack Ukraine at the beginning of 2022. “They also often accuse others of what they themselves plan to do. Their words should never be taken at face value,” Sibiga added.
The minister is convinced that such reactions to Russia’s baseless manipulative statements only play into Russian propaganda and encourage Moscow to further atrocities and lies.
“We call on all states to act responsibly and refrain from reacting to unverified accusations – this undermines the constructive peace process that has been moving forward recently,” Sibiga noted.
“Attack” on Putin’s residenceAs reported by UNIAN, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Serhii Lavrov stated that the Defense Forces of Ukraine on the night of December 29 allegedly attempted to attack the state residence of the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin in the Novgorod region (Valdai). Lavrov claimed that the Russian military allegedly destroyed 91 drones.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, emphasized that such a statement is another lie of the Russian side. He believes that such a Russian statement is aimed at disrupting all achievements of Ukrainian joint work with the team of US President Donald Trump.
At the same time, residents of the Novgorod region of the Russian Federation, where the residence of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is located, have not heard the sounds of drones and explosions in recent nights.
