This was stated by Deputy Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Serhiy Ryabkov.
At the same time, he added that there are no significant obstacles to the meeting between Putin and Trump. He also stated that “adversaries are trying to prevent Russia and the USA from reaching new agreements and organizing another meeting of leaders.”
At the same time, according to Ryabkov, there are still no agreements on a meeting between Marco Rubio and Sergey Lavrov in Budapest.
Also, Ryabkov did not confirm that the USA and Russia exchanged documents in non-paper format regarding Ukraine. Earlier, Reuters, with reference to sources, reported that Moscow sent Washington a closed note demanding that it transfer control over the entire Donbas to conclude a peace agreement with Ukraine.

However, later it became known that the meeting between the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Sergey Lavrov, and the US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, which was expected this week, “has been postponed for the time being.” Later, Trump said that he did not want to have a useless meeting with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
However, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said that preparations for the meeting are continuing, despite the uncertainty and diplomatic tension.
