Yulia Sviridenko is now a new head of the Ukrainian government / photo of UNIANThe Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported the appointment of Yulia Sviridenko for the post of Prime Minister. This was reported by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak in his Telegram channel.
According to him, 262 people’s deputies voted in favor of the decision.
“The Council rearranged the main chair: Yulia Sviridenko was appointed to the new Prime Minister of Ukraine,” Zheleznyak said.

In particular, the President of the European Commission Ursula von Der Lyen in her greetings on the X network said that the European Union fully supports Ukraine in its struggle for survival and is working on the restoration of Ukraine and its future in the EU.
Also, von Der Lyen thanked the former Prime Minister Denis Shmigal. She expressed the best wishes of Shmigal in his key new position of the Minister of Defense.
Sviridenko also greeted the President of the European Parliament Robert Motzol.
“Since the brave Ukrainian people continue to resist the aggressor, rest assured that European support will only grow,” she said.

On July 15, Shmigal wrote a statement of release. On July 16, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine voted for his dismissal from the post of Prime Minister Shmigal and his government. 261 deputies voted in favor of the decision.
