“We see that the enemy has begun to attack some objects, I will not name them, which depend on the distribution of natural gas to a specific settlement,” the deputy minister noted, adding that the protection of these objects from enemy attacks is currently being strengthened.

According to him, the enemy continues to attack gas production, so Ukraine will be forced to additionally import “blue fuel”.

“Since the beginning of October, we have received more than six strikes… The attacks continue, so additional imports are necessary,” Kolisnyk noted.

Where is Ukraine looking for gas and moneyIn order to provide technical support for additional gas imports, the Ministry of Energy plans to diversify its supply routes. According to Kolisnyk, work continues on increasing the volume of gas supplies on the Polish-Ukrainian border.

In addition, it is planned to use the Trans-Balkan gas pipeline. In this context, the deputy minister noted that the cost of transporting gas from European terminals has already leveled off.

At the same time, money is needed for the additional import of gas, which the Ministry of Energy estimates at about 2 billion cubic meters, and therefore Ukraine is negotiating with European partners, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Canada, the USA, Norway, etc. – “in order to increase financing, in particular, for NJSC Naftogaz, to have guaranteed contracts and to cover monthly gas consumption during the heating season. season”.

The minister noted that 13.2 billion cubic meters of gas have already been pumped into Ukrainian underground gas storage facilities, as planned by the government.

“However, the production is damaged as a result of the attacks. Moreover, the attacks continue, so additional imports are necessary,” Kolisnyk emphasized.

Strikes by the Russian Federation on the gas production infrastructure of UkraineIn autumn, Russia significantly increased the number of attacks on the gas infrastructure of Ukraine. In particular, on October 15, Serhiy Koretskyi, the head of Naftogaz of Ukraine, said that over the past week, the Russian Federation had attacked the gas infrastructure of Ukraine three times, and on the night of October 15, it attacked one of the CHP plants of Naftogaz of Ukraine.

On the night of October 16, Russia once again attacked the gas infrastructure of Naftogaz of Ukraine, which led to the shutdown of some critical facilities.

Russia’s attacks on gas infrastructure, according to unofficial data, have already destroyed approximately 60% of gas production.

Due to Moscow’s gas terror, Ukraine is conducting negotiations on additional gas imports. The Minister of Energy, Svitlana Grynchuk, said that negotiations on the additional import of 1.38 billion cubic meters of gas are ongoing.
