Finland is concerned about the growing military threat from Russia and is preparing new aid to Ukraine.

“Russia is really ramping up its military efforts for the second phase of its potential aggression. After the end of the war in Ukraine, there are real threats to NATO,” Hyakkanen said on the sidelines of the NATO North Atlantic Council meeting in Brussels.
The minister emphasized that the modernization of Russian troops and their location near European borders indicate a growing danger.
Before the meeting of defense ministers of NATO countries, Häkkanen announced that Finland will join PURL, the program for the purchase of American weapons for Ukraine. A new aid package for Kyiv from Finland is also expected to be announced this week.
Russia’s hybrid aggression against EuropeAs UNIAN reported, European leaders declare the “end of peace”, but their statements contrast with US indifference, while Russian drones, sabotage and cyber attacks test NATO’s readiness for a real threat.
Former NATO Secretary General George Robertson warned that Europe is not ready for a new form of war.
Instead, it became known that of all European countries, only Finland has a sufficient number of shelters in case of war.
