“Unlike Ukraine in 2013, Georgia is an independent state with strong institutions and, most importantly, experienced and wise people. The Maidan scenario cannot be implemented in Georgia,” Kobakhidze said at the briefing.
The prime minister blamed European politicians and the “agency” for the violence at pro-European rallies in Tbilisi.
“The main responsibility for yesterday’s violent rally lies with the relevant European politicians and bureaucrats, the local agents, the fifth column, which is represented in the form of four political parties,” he said.
According to Kobakhidze, on the night of November 30 in Tbilisi, the police prevented “an attack on the country’s constitutional system” and protected sovereignty and independence.

Georgia’s parliament raised security to the highest level as thousands gathered to protest Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze’s announcement that his government is suspending EU accession talks until 2028 and will not accept budget grants from Brussels.
