Palis clarified the situation with the guaranteed 15 days.
Currently added 14 days for combatants / photo 22 Separate Mechanized BrigadeThere have been many interpretations in Ukraine on vacation innovations for the Ukrainian military. The Deputy Head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine Pavlo Palis gave an explanation.
“Earlier, everyone had 30 days of vacation. There were now 14 days for combatants. This norm existed before, but for the military it did not work during martial law. Now it is valid,” he wrote on Facebook.
He also clarified the situation with the guaranteed 15 days.
“They were not previously, and there could be a situation where the commander’s decision (for example, in the case of a difficult situation in the unit) was not able to go on vacation at all. Now there are 15 days guaranteed by law. The rest – depending on the capabilities in the unit,” Palis said.
He noted that the mechanism of compensation for unused vacation days is also being worked out not after being released, but every year. The deputy added:
“And I do not forget that there are another 10 days in family circumstances, and every type of vacation, if necessary, is added days to the road.”
Vacations for the militaryToday, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported that with the military command already agreed to grant an additional 15 days of leave to the Ukrainian military.
The head of state also added that a law was adopted, which gives more opportunities to veterans.
