Such a proposal was expressed by the President of Finland, Alexander Stubb, writes Yle.

The G20 summit will be held on November 21-22 in Johannesburg – the largest city of the South African Republic. South Africa will be the first African country to host this summit.

At the same time, neither Trump nor Putin announced their intention to attend the summit.

Yes, Trump stated that Vice President J.D. Vance would attend the G20 meeting instead of him. Kremlin press secretary Dmytro Peskov also stated that Putin does not plan to personally attend the summit in South Africa, where he could be detained.

Meeting between Trump and PutinIt will be recalled that Donald Trump announced a meeting with dictator Putin in Budapest. He did not name the exact date, but said that it will take place in the near future.

However, it soon became known that the summit in Budapest was cancelled. Preparations for it were put on hold after an unsuccessful conversation between the US Secretary of State Rubio and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Lavrov.

The media wrote that the meeting between Putin and Trump will not take place in the near future, because the Russian Federation refused an immediate ceasefire in Ukraine.

On November 2, the Kremlin announced that there is currently no need for a meeting between Trump and Putin for negotiations on Ukraine.
